These shots are also from 1995, when I had the good fortune to be working in Pitlochry for about 6 weeks, and the equal good fortune to have some excellent companions.

Loch Tummel is drained by the River Tummel, a tributary of the River Tay. It appears to have its watershed on the great wilderness of Rannoch Moor.

Glen Errochty is slightly to the north of Loch Tummel. I've seen Golden Eagles and Ospreys fly along both the Tummel valley and Glen Errochty.

Ben-y-Vrackie is a mountain above Pitlochry which I climbed on May 29th 1995, proving how desperately unfit I was, and being overtaken on my way up by several sprightly old age pensioners.

The Hermitage is at Dunkeld, on the road south from Pitlochry towards Perth. It's a National Trust property now, but despite that seems quite unspoiled. These pictures were taken at about 10pm - yet it was still broad daylight.
