Question:
Does anyone know how to make a Pimms without a bottle of Pimms Number whatever to hand? Summer has arrived in Geneva (at least until Thursday, apparently) and this old bag's fancy has turned to thoughts of relaxing with her drug of choice, but am a bit stuck without access to that basic ingredient. Have tried searching on the net, but the first line always reads : "Take 1 bottle Pimms" , or else refers me to an astrophysics site (duh!). Does anyone know if it is just a mix of gin or vodka and martini before you but the fruit salad in?

According to my former bar-keeping better half, you can't, Pimms is a proprietary product.

She suggests Grenadine, Creme de Meire and a teaspoon of cinnamon diluted with water, but this may be too sweet (this is a julep known as a Summer Cup).

Does Tesco deliver to Geneva?

I saw some thoughts on PIMMS - well a home made reciept goes as follows
1 part gin
1 part sweet red martini
dashes of angustoras bitters to taste
lemonade
and your fruit salad.
The main part is to enjoy your mixing, and keep tasting until you find the correct balance for yourself - BUT, by then you're probably too drunck to remember and will have to start all over again the next night.
